Annie Xiong Comm 10 Professor Chivers February 15, 2019 Ted talk self reflection 1) Preparation -since my topic was on love, I dressed with a tie and brought a single rose in a little glass bottle to bring out a sense of romanticism and contrast to the relevance of my topic and to also bring some attention from the audience, for humor. I constantly had to keep editing my speech as I wanted to make it humorous and grasping but I decided not to overdo it and keep to the formalities of the outline as before, I had to work on my organisation more, as well as make it my priority. 2) Performance - I was still nervous and I could tell throughout my speech, I was shaky in speaking and it affected my voice to stumble and not sound quite articulate. I was able to put in some signposts in my speech as well as space it out a lot to make sure I don’t get lost and could easily follow with whatever actions can benefit my points across and it worked better than I had planned. Some points I would suggest to myself is to talk MUCH louder, I
