The revolutionary political leaders became divided in the 1790’s over the course of the new nation due to different views on laws, and different perspectives on what an ideal country is. They no longer shared the goal of independence for them to be unified. There are two groups which are the Federalist and the Democratic Republicans. The Federalists entrusted the government can make the country better and to have more strength and financially stability. While the democratic republicans wanted an ideal country that was made up western land ownership such as farmers,they wanted to claim their farms for themselves while other states wanted the land shared by everyone. To me the most frightening elements of the Alien and Sedition Acts would be being stripped from our right to freedom of speech or even people viewed as enemies outside the U.S. being arrested/deported or even being monitored/watched. If I would be an Anti-Federalist I’m all for the ratification of the Constitution while
