Computer Security 1 Tingting Liu The differences between fundamental technological and software engineering are with the following aspects. Firstly, when most engineering products have been completed, tested, and sold, it is responsible to expect that the product design is correct and that it will work reliably, while with software products, it is usual to find that the software has major “bugs” and does not work reliably for some users. Secondly, analog systems from the core of the traditional areas of engineering, while software systems are discrete state systems that do not have the repetitive structure found in computer circuitry; lastly, most designers in traditional engineering disciplines have been educated to understand the mathematical tools that are available to them, while programmers cannot even begin to use the meager tools that are available to software engineers.
