Rizvi 1 Shan Rizvi Perkins, Kristin TD 301 - 25615 November 5, 2018 Fuddy Meers , a comedy ‘thriller’ play written by David Lindsay-Abaire and hosted by the University Theatre Guild at University of Texas at Austin on November 2 tells the story of Claire, an amnesiac who loses her memory each night and goes through the struggle of who to trust and who is out to manipulate her condition for their own benefit. The stage was in the corner of the room with the audience on two sides of it, so not exactly a thrust or arena stage type. The acting style was close to realism but not exactly: the characters lived in a setting different from the audience’s but their emotions were highly exaggerated for comedic effect. Overall I felt that the play was really well done: the acting was sublime, the set was architected well, and scene changes were smooth. Each of the actors played their part extremely well as it felt that they were immersed in their role. The actress who played Claire showed a wide range of emotions, whether it was her
