1. Emotional Self Perception: Identifying emotions and their influence on behavior. S- I can excel in this capacity because I can understand why I feel the way I do in a sense of emotion. I understand how both ends of the spectrum, happiness and sadness, can reflect on my mood and can affect my actions. W- I need to develop and grow by not letting one emotion influence my entire day. I tend to get stuck on a negative if something bad happened in my daily life. I need to understand that one thing shouldn ’t affect my entire day. O- The opportunities I can take advantage of is to reflect on the positive aspects of my day to avoid letting one little thing ruin my day. T- Triggers of stress and negativity can get in the way of me excelling or further developing in the capacity. I need to avoid triggers and let everything happen for a reason. I need to avoid reflecting my mood with my behaviors. 2. Emotional Self-Control: Consciously moderating emotions This is pretty similar to the above questions answers S- I can excel in this capacity because I know when emotions can get out of hand and get extreme without showing my knowledge of it. I can figure out when to tone it down in exciting situations and when to suck it up in negative situations. W- Honestly, I am unsure how to grow and develop in this capacity. I think I do a very well job of consciously balancing and moderating my emotions. But, I can get a little out of hand sometimes. O- The opportunities that exist that I can take advantage of include just monitoring my daily emotions and focus on staying a happy medium. I can also talk/vent with others to get my happy and sad emotions out to avoid extreme emotions. T- Oversharing can get in the way of me excelling or further developing in this capacity. I tend to overshare when it comes to something I’m really excited about and I tend to create an annoyance in relation to it.
