I. Objective The objective of this experiment is to gain knowledge in measuring and graphing techniques to use throughout all the experiments the laboratory. Some methods used during the lab were using equations to find the slope, finding an equation of a line, and simple graphing skills. During lab, it was important to know how to use a bruet and its stopcock to perform the second part of the lab. II. Data Part 1 Practice Graphs Data: Method A Method B Slope calculated from best fit line: 3.2 Slope calculated from best fit line: 3.48 Circum (cm) Diameter (cm) Circum (cm) Diameter (cm) 1.22 cm 0.5 cm 2.43 cm 0.5 cm 2.99 cm 1.0 cm 3.09 cm 1.0 cm 4.86 cm 1.5 cm 5.47 cm 1.5 cm 6.19 cm 2.0 cm 5.24 cm 2.0 cm 7.76 cm 2.5 cm 9.12 cm 2.5 cm 9.82 cm 3.0 cm 8.86 cm 3.0 cm 10.85 cm 3.5 cm 12.27 cm 3.5 cm 13.15 cm 4.0 cm 13.47 cm 4.0 cm Part 2 Mass vs. Volume of a liquid Data: Weight of beaker without water: 49.7Slope calculated from best fit line: 1.0 g/mL Volume (mL) Mass with Beaker (g) 5.0 mL 54.7 g 10.0 mL 59.8 g 15.0 mL 64.6 g 20.0 mL 69.6 g 25.0 mL 74.8 g 30.0 mL 79.7 g 35.0 mL 84.7 g 40.0 mL 89.7 g 45.0 mL 94.7 g 50.0 mL 99.7 g III. ### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
