Purpose The purpose of this lab was to experiment the effect of increasing concentration of an ionic compound in an aqueous solution. Procedure The procedure for this lab can be found on pages 24-27 in “General Chemistry CHE111L Laboratory Manual Spring 2018”. Data Tables Carbon copies of data tables have been attached to the back of this lab report. Summary of Results Solution Slope, m Correlation Coefficient 1.0 M NaCl 133.3 .9998 1.0 M AlC l 3 219.8 .9987 1.0 M CaC l 2 227.3 .9993 Unknown 219.1 .999 Unknown #: 5 Identity of Unknown: CaC l 2 Conclusion The purpose of this lab, to experiment the effect of increasing concentration on an ionic compound in an aqueous solution, was fulfilled. The results were then used to find the identity of the unknown using slope from the previous trials. The slope of the 1.0 M NaCl was found to be 133.3 and the correlation coefficient was recorded as .9998. The slope of the 1.0 M AlC l 3 was found to be 219.8 and the correlation coefficient

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
