The Anabaptists Anabaptists were a part of the Radical Reformation which rejected the state from playing an important role in church affairs. Anabaptism was very appealing to peasants, weavers, miners, and artisans, generally anyone who was adversely effected to the economic changes of the time period. Anabaptists believed in the spiritual rebirth and advocated for adult baptism when compared to infant baptism. They felt this way because they believe in not forcing the relation and practices on anyone. Anabaptists thought that infant baptism was forcing the religion upon a child before they know which religion they believe in or want to practice. Unlike Catholics and protestants, Anabaptists believed in full separation of church and state. I personally agree with this because it allows for personal choice and more freedom to practice faith instead of having it
