Where I work, we have to report out information on a bi-weekly basis regarding training. We have an agenda that has times for each area and we use an excel spreadsheet to report out to management. We have a lot of reporting to do which is all visual, at the same time, it gets the conversation going when it comes to the details. We have time to talk about all of the subjects we are covering. Normally takes one hour to cover with two departments with two plant trainers speaking and then my job is to facilitate the meeting. That’s where the Action Log comes in. This holds everyone accountable on each subject that needs more attention. Every time we have a meeting, we bring them up at the beginning of the meeting for OLD actions and at the end of the meeting for NEW actions that were added to the list. We just got a new program called LMS (learning management system) which will have a lot more benefits to report out.
