Learning objective: To be able to talk about past events by completing a set of skill-based activities related to simple past. Requirements: Study and practice: Simple past of be: was/were. Simple past: regular verbs. Use format Challenge 7.0 – Resources. Student’s instructions: 1 . First, use format challenge 7.0 in order to do the following activities related to simple past tense of be “ was/were” : Go to the first activity “Where were they yesterday?”, pay attention to each photo and fill in the blanks with was or were depending on the sentence. Next go to the next activity “Historical Figures” in which you have to read a paragraph about Charles Darwin and choose the correct verb ( was or were). 2. Moreover, move on to the next activity about simple past: regular verbs and do the following: Read the tense chart and change the regular verbs to simple past.
