Impact of Post-Maternity Leave on Employee Performance Standards 2 Abstract The purpose of the following research study is to investigate the impact of post maternity leave measures implemented by hotels in Canberra, Australia to ensure satisfactory employee performance standards. The focus of the research study is to establish whether the incentives introduced by the hotels within the city are effective in promoting a significant improvement in performance standards, or the fact that they are not doing enough to address the concerns of the new mothers. The research uses an explorative mixed research method in undertaking the analysis and review of the entire process, whereby survey questions are used to collect fresh data from the research participants. The participants in this case were the HR teams in every hotel establishment sampled for the research study, as well as the employees from these hotels, particularly the new moms that were now resuming work after a long period on maternity leave. The research confirms that the measures taken are very effective as post maternity leave incentive measures, which in turn enable the workers to significantly improve their performance standards. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
