Fun Facts Octopus are very old. The oldest octopus fossil ever discovered dates back to 296 Million years ago. Aristotle thought octopuses were dumb. With more research, it has been discovered that they’re actually very intelligent. Contain blue blood. In order to survive underwater they evolved copper into their blood which turns it blue. Only transfers ⅓ amount of oxygen compared to fish blood. They are a very popular food item in East Asia, Spain, and Greece. Throughout the Middle and Late Minoan Periods (2000-1000 BCE) people claim that the octopus has been watching humans. Appear in Egyptian hieroglyphs as they saw them as watcher as well.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
