INTRODUCTION When it comes to Biblical eschatology there are generally a few different theological viewpoints that come into play. Differing views, such as dispensationalism, Calvinism, Armenianism and Covenant theology all determine how we study the text of scripture, thereby giving us different understandings of end time events in the Bible. For instance, most Covenant Theologians are amillennial whereas Dispensationalists are pre-millennial. These views are based on how each go about their exegesis. So which one is right? This paper will concentrate on the two, Covenant Eschatology and Dispensational eschatology. It will show that to truly understand Biblical eschatology, one must use the Dispensational viewpoint. Because of this, the O.T. predictions for Israel are transferred to the us, the Church. As mentioned above as a standard way for Covenant Theologians to interpret scripture, allegory is used to justify this transfer. 3 “So the promises to Israel are to be fulfilled in a spiritual manner in the Church.
