Human Trafficking in Thailand Case Study The term human trafficking is used when one individual hold someone else with forced constraint. The U.S. Bureau of State and the universal network view Thailand as a wellspring of and goal for men, ladies, and kids who are casualties of human trafficking. People from Burma, Cambodia, Laos, and other countries were taken to Thailand. Thousands of victims were employed in domestic work. Children were also forced to work. Human trafficking violates the basic human rights, such as the right to justice. In the 2007 United Nations publication The Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking , Secretary-General Asha-Rose Migirio stated “Human trafficking affects us all, whether we live in countries of origin, transit or destination. Preventing and combating it requires a comprehensive international approach. We must act together to stop a crime in our midst that deprives countless victims of their liberty, dignity and human rights.” The Thailand government
