Cold War Children’s Book You are going to be researching the major events and ideas of the Cold War, using your research to create your own children’s book! You must research and include the following topics in your book: Containment/Domino Theory Truman Doctrine Marshall Plan Berlin Airlift NATO and Warsaw Pact Arms Race Korean War Berlin Wall Cuban Missile Crisis Vietnam War Each topic should be represented by at least one page in your book. Some of the events (at least the Korean and Vietnam Wars, plus the Cuban Missile Crisis) will merit more than that. Your challenge is to describe the event in a symbolic way. Instead of talking about the “United States” against the “Soviet Union,” or “democracy” and “communism,” or things like “nuclear bomb” or “wall,” think about how you can communicate the significance of the event without explicitly mentioning the event itself. Consider Dr. Seuss’ The Butter Battle Book as an example.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
