Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh infiltrasi nanogold terhadap kualitas jaringan dan kuantitas merkuri pada otak mencit (Mus Musculus) setelah di papar merkuri. Dalam penelitian ini mencit dipapar dengan krem merkuri 2 ppm selama 1 minggu dan dilakukan pemulihan dengan infiltrasi nanogold dalam bentuk krem pada konsentrasi 10 ppm selama 1-4 minggu. Untuk mengetahui kadar merkuri dilakukan uji dengan metode voltametri, sedangkan untuk mengetahui struktur jaringan organ otak dilakukan dengan teknik pewarnaan histokimia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nanogold dapat menurunkan konsentrasi merkuri pada organ otak yang dipapar merkuri dari 17,87 ppm menjadi 16,868 ppm; 15,562 ppm; 14,262 ppm dan 13,462 ppm berturut-turut setelah dipulihkan dengan nanogold selama 1-4 minggu. Berdasarkan teknik pewarnaan histokimia, pemulihan jaringan otak dengan nanogold selama 4 minggu menunjukkan berkurangnya apoptosis neuronal (inti piknotik dan kariolisis) dan peradangan pada jaringan otak dengan bertambah banyaknya sel-sel neuron yang berarti jaringan otak tidak mengalami nekrosis sel lagi akibat merkuri. Kata kunci : Infiltrasi nanogold, apoptosis, nekrosis Abstract . The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of nanogold infiltration against the quality of tissue and quantity of mercury in the mice ( mus musculus ) brain after has been exposured by mercury. In this experiment mouse has been exposed by 2 ppm mercury cream during one week and recovered by nanogold infiltration in the form of cream at concentrations 10 ppm during 1-4 weeks. The mercury levels has been measured by using voltammetry method, whereas the structure of the brain tissue has been analyzed using histochemical staining techniques. The result show that nanogold can reduce the concentration of mercury in the organs of the brain that exposed by mercury from 17,87 ppm to 16,868 ppm; 15,562 ppm; 14,262 ppm and 13,462 ppm after recovered by nanogold for 1-4 week successively. Based on histochemical staining techniques, the recovery of brain tissue with nanogold for four weeks shows a reduced neuronal apoptosis (the nucleus piknotik and kariolisis ) and inflammation of the tissues of the brain by increase of the number of cells neurons which means that brain tissue is not witness necrosis cells again due to mercury.
