Sam Hines CRIM 100 April 3, 2018 Community Service Report I decided to utilize my community service towards helping patients battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS) by swimming for donations from the public. I used the organization called “Swim for MS” in which my friends and myself completed laps in a recreation-sized pool to achieve goals that we set for ourselves. One of the initial goals that I was prepared to achieve for myself alone was to swim for a total of 20 hours (the minimum requirement of community service hours) and I am proud to say that I reached this mark by March 27 th . In my personal experience, I was able to raise about $100 after my goals were completed. I set it up to where each time I reached one goal, it would count towards $20 and then I would raise the bar for myself to reach another $20. There were many generous non-goal related donations from various people. This community service experience really opened to my eyes about how a little can go a long way. Looking back on everything, I was able to raise almost $100 with no sort of
