Sam Hines Prof. Powers ENG- 23714 2/23/2016 OTC- 16 Throughout my year so far in ENG-131, I have mostly worked on making connections with the main character of Brain on Fire, Susannah Cahalan. I believe that the best way to follow and understand a book is to be able to connect with the main character and get a feeling of what life was like in their shoes. So, for my OTC’s, I constantly tried to make generalizations and I tried making these ties to my life as well as Susannah’s in order to grasp a feeling or two that Susannah experienced in her book. While doing my OTC’s in this order, I received some positive feedback as well as some negative feedback, but both were regarding my connection-making abilities to Susannah.
