Video Game Deconstruction: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Group K Legend of Zelda: Skyward Swordallows the user to play the role of the main character, Link, and his quest to stop the forces of evil that have come through a crack in the earth. The rotating, third-person, 3D perspective of the game allows the player to view not only the main character, but also the surrounding radius of Link as well. This creates a different strategy the player can use when fighting enemies because it grants them the ability to see attacks coming from directions other than directly ahead. It can also permit the playerto analyze the character, their motives, reactions, and role in thestory. At the same time, the player is immersed in the action and adventure components of the game and shares themotivation and feelings of the main character. As most adventure games go, Skyward Sword has a lot of contentthat is open to the player to explore freely in between overallstory events that guide the player throughout the game. Additionally, there are a multitude of puzzles throughout the game. These puzzles play into the game’s pace. It’s up to the player in terms of how long it takes to solve. Same goes to the monster and boss encounters – the fights themselves are fast-paced with quick movements, but theplayer can take their own approach to the battle and how long theytake to get through the enemy obstacles. As for the controls, the newly introduced Wii U motioncontrollers give the player the latest immersive gameplay options while using the Wii U platform. LOZ: Skyward Sword contains many features that are unique, as well as a staple to the series. The most stand-out feature, which is new to the franchise, is motion controlled combat, using the Wii U Controller and Nunchuk. Through this, the player is more immersed within the game by controlling Link’s sword swings directly, rather than just by pressing a button. This feature broadens out towards combat in general, as Link will face many varied enemy types with his trusty sword and shield.Another new feature added specifically for Skyward Swordarethetwo “realms”, or main areas of the game, that players will travel to throughout their adventure. Within the area above the clouds, the players will fly through the sky on top of birds to travel to points of interest. These points then either lead the player to a small island within the sky realm, or down to a much larger “dungeon” area within the land realm. There is also a third area, called the “Silent Realms”, that essentially has the player use aspects of stealth to get their way through sections of the game they’ve previously explored.A long-standing

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
