Regulatory bodies make sure there’s no chaos in the economy. “A regulatory body is a public organization or government agency that is set up to exercise a regulatory function. This involves imposing requirements, conditions or restrictions, setting the standard for activities, and enforcing in these areas or obtaining compliance” (Safeopedia, n.d.). We might be be off for a little while with a true free market economy, but eventually people will start taking advantage of it and other people. Freedom is great, but too much freedom can turn into a nightmare. There will always be people that get too greedy or think they’re better than everyone else. People like this would ruin a true free market economy for everyone else.
