2 Disease/condition - Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), that causes inflammation and irritation in your digestive tract. Ulcerative colitis and microscopic colitis are other common types of IBD. Etiology - Crohn’s disease affect the digestive system starting with the small intestine and the beginning of the large intestine. Crohn’s can affect any part of your digestive tract, from your mouth to your anus. Signs - the signs for crohn’s consist of mouth sores, fatigue, weight loss, abdominal tenderness and cramping. It you have these signs it is best to have a doctor check it out because it could be something else. Symptoms - there are many symptoms for crohn’s disease. The most common symptoms are considerable weight loss, diarrhea, and cramping and pain in the right lower part of the abdomen. This type of crohn’s is called ileocolitis.
