1 English 1250 February 27, 2017 Hiring the Wrong Employee One of the biggest struggles with recruiting for any organization is hiring the right employee for the job. When an organization has a vacancy to fill, a hiring manager starts stressing immediately and only sees the need to fill it as soon as possible. With this sense of urgency, a hiring manager will sometimes miss red flags or simply ignore them to fill the vacancy. Hiring the wrong employee will cost an organization in so many ways; loss of productivity, financial loss, and employee morale to name a few. Although most managers view themselves as “experts” in making the best hiring choices, they can be fooled by candidates. As Chris Ceplenski, author of “6 Reasons We Hire the Wrong Employee” explains, employers do want to hire the right employees but experience issues in doing so.
