Introduction In this experiment we were to determine the basic use of the photocell. Simply to say a photocell l is a two-terminal device made with cadmium sulfide and with resistance that varies with luminance in the visible spectrum of 400 to 700nm. Objectives (1)Learning the principles of photocell operation. (2)Measuring the photocell resistance with a voltage divider and analog input. (3)Size the voltage-divider resistor for the best measurement sensitivity and range. (4) Using Arduino and make the photocell work Materials - 10 jumper wires - photocell - Laptop - Arduino uno - Arduino connector - Breadboard - LED - 380 ohms resistor

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
