Psychology has always been a huge mystery to myself and most of the word. So many people, including myself, tend to think of the negative issues of mental health and stability when we hear the word “psychology”. At times, I have issues seeing past the negative connotations and people with mental disabilities come to mind first. However, with my line of work and a company that is truly trying to understand how to interact better with others, I have experienced a better way, or you could say a more positive approach for these interactions. Honestly at first, I felt the subject was just another course to move through until I spoke to my manager last week. She stated this was one of her most loved classes and she took away so much from the courses she took years ago. After speaking with her, I stepped back and became really excited. She has such a different way of looking at situations, which is a skill set that I want. As an HR professional, there is so many issues that arise that require us to stop and evaluate before reacting.
