RAUCH 1 The last couple of weeks we have been interesting. Working in human resources is a challenging industry. The majority of our job is to help others and to show them how their behavior impacts the people around them and their work. Interestingly enough, I have learned that we all have roles that we play in our daily lives. Role-playing is the best way to describe how our interactions change depending on what we are doing (Coon & Mitterer, 2015 p. 600). I believe the first time I really understood this to the fullest was last summer when my two children came to my office to visit. I had a few employees that needed assistance while my children were visiting, so I of course continued to my job. Once I finished and the door closed, each of my children, laughed out loud and said, “who are you”. I asked why, and they explained that your attitude and presence totally changed right in front of us. That conversation and their words have truly stuck with me and I use this situation as an example to others often.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
