In this case, UK care home employers need to retain their staff because it reduces recruitment and training expenses that are incurred in case an employee leaves. Aims of the Study The study aims at drawing out various retention strategies that UK home care employers utilise, given that the emergency of Brexit poses a significant challenge on the recruitment process. The topic was chosen on the basis that according to Garza (2016), demand for home care services is expected to gradually increase, due to the significant growth of the old population, chronic and complex disorders, as well as Brexit factors.

Key Themes The paper analyses the question of what are the best practices in retention strategies in care homes. The topic is significant as it will be used to investigate the outstanding strategies and their feasibilities in maintaining and promoting the quality services in UK home care. Given that, there is an increasing demand of home care service providers as a result of the growing population of people above 80 years, an investigation on this aspect will be significant in building a strong workforce that can provide the required services to the patients. Literature Review Brexit poses a significant implication for the health sector in England (Baird & Mckenna, 2019). Brexit has impacted UK recruitment and retention processes of the EU nationals, which severely affects the staff workforce among the home care facilities. In this case, improving employee engagements to enable the staff to express their views concerning job satisfaction is deemed essential to motivate the available employees to stay for retention.
