Using Concepts Categorization so far… We store information about categories as concepts. Concepts are representations of our knowledge. There are different theories (and supporting evidence) concerning what kind of information is contained in a concept and how that information is organized. Induction Category induction is the act of generalizing from our knowledge of one category to a novel object or category. (Inductive reasoning, in general, is reasoning that moves from specific to general. It is a type of category-based reasoning that requires… That you know the properties of Category A.
