Choose a channel that receiver prefers 3. Think of ways to reduce channel noise and distractions 4. Be aware of competing messages E. Receiver decodes message 1. Avoid prejudging message 2. Strive to understand both verbal and nonverbal cues 3. Ignore distractions 4. Create receptive environment 5. Expect to learn F. Feedback returns to sender 1. Craft clear and complete response that reveals comprehension of message meaning 2. Begin the cycle again when the receiver becomes the sender with same concerns G.
