Background of the Study Students study hard to have good academic standing to have a better future This study would like to help students, especially in the University of the Philippines Mindanao, increase their academic skills not only for the benefit of the students and the institution but for the whole nation. Habits are those things we usually do for our convenience even sometimes we do not notice that we are already doing. Study habits are also called the “strategies of work” Some common effective techniques are time management, organization and prioritization.

This study could help students find ways to enjoy and to have less stress in studying especially for examinations and quizzes and encourages students to willingly participate class This study could help the students to manage their habits and make use of it as effective studying mechanism. Some habits could lighten up the student’s mood and it can help him focus. But habits that require also your attention is not recommended. This would distract the student’s focus. Avoid things that are not needed when studying. Background of the Study

Do students prefer on studying while listening to music or on silence?
