The Philippine Department of Health said it had recorded 146,062 cases of dengue from January through July 28, and 98% more than during that same period in 2018, according to Associated Press.Similarly, the DOH, declared a national dengue epidemic as cases of the mosquito-borne disease continued to rise in the country. 622 people died due to dengue as of July 20 this year.
