These individuals receive prescriptions, address and rectify rejected claims and conduct necessary third-party authorization requests. Specifically, for Botulinum toxins, the specialist must be versed on the FDA guidelines for Botulinum toxins and be able to read dictated doctor’s notes to locate and identify these complex guidelines to ensure authorization is medically necessary as well as covered.
