PHILIPPINE TECHNOLOGICAL COUNCIL Y.E.-Middle East and North Africa Affairs Kingdom of Saudi Arabia INTRODUCTION The Philippine Technological Council (PTC), through its International Relations Committee and Young Engineer- PTC Middle East and North Africa Affairs, spearheaded a series of write-shops to augment strong collaboration among practicing Filipino engineers in Saudi Arabia. In this effort, invaluable cooperation was provided by the Philippine Council of Engineers and Architects (PCEA) and the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE), which has a well-acknowledged Assessment criterion for admitting Filipino engineers. Among other things, they supplied diplomatic relations which contributed important inputs for which we at YE-PTC are extremely grateful. The Philippine Technological Council together with its Young Engineer- MENA Affairs, being the umbrella organization of the accredited professional organizations in the technological fields, recognizes the need to have an Assessment Interviews (AI) for the ASEAN ENGINEER REGISTRY in KSA. Therefore, WE at Young Engineer Section-PTC had taken a step ahead in giving proof that the standards of competence for advanced level of professional practice in the technological disciplines of Filipino Engineers in Saudi Arabia were already attained. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this AER Assessment Interview is to validate the individual engineer’s understanding of engineering competencies and how they’ve gained them. They will reply random questions to successfully complete their application for Advanced level Engineer status. They are advised to observe and follow the instructions carefully for best results. ENGINEERING PRACTICE EXPLANATIONS Preparing your Engineering Practice Explanations Your Engineering Practice Explanations are series of career experiences gained during professional formation years. The significance of individual professional experiences varies. A minor experience may cover a relatively short period of time (several months) and can be cited to claim some elements of Competency.
