Instructions: First, devise a tentative thesis for Paper 2. Then use the formula below to construct TWO paragraphs that make a connection across Schlosser and Kaldor and that support the thesis. Be sure to follow the detailed instructions below. The point of this activity is to create two paragraphs that you could actually use in your final paper. FORMULA FOR MAKING CONNECTIONS by Barclay Barrios Barclay's Super-Secret Formula for Connection: Connection = Cl+I+Q1+E+T+Q2+Ce Where: Cl = Start by stating your claim, what you are trying to prove. I = Then introduce the first quotation. Q1 = Give the first quotation. E = Explain it in your own words. T = Give some sort of transition to the next quotation, providing a clue to connection. Q2 = Give the second quote. CE = Explain how the second quote connects to the first one in a sentence or two. This last part is crucial. You need to explain the connection in order to really prove it.
