Keith Crouse CAS 100A Speech 2 Outline Speech Codes I. Introduction Picture yourself studying in your dorm room on a night before a big test, when suddenly you hear a lot of shouting and stomping. In reaction to all the commotion yourself and some other students yell out of the window, however all you yell at the noisy crowd is that they are bunch of water buffaloes. Later that night there is a knock at your door and to your surprise it is the police and they are here to talk to you about racist remarks that had been yelled earlier. Apparently the group you yelled at had been a black sorority and they had called the police when they were hollered at them to quite down. Later on you receive a letter from the administration telling you that you had made racially insensitive comments and that you must attend “sensitivity training classes.” This is a true story about a student named Eden Jacobowitz who was a student at the University of Pennsylvania.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
