Keith Crouse CAS 100A Motivational Speech Outline 1. Attention Step: How often do you walk by a newspaper on the floor, or sit down and are surrounded by garbage. For the average Penn State student this can range from once or twice a day to multiple times depending on how many classes and where they are. This is becoming an ever-increasing problem and something needs to be done about it. 2. Need Step: a. Statement: This problem needs to be fixed because apart from just making in an unpleasant experience to sit through a class beyond whoever may be lecturing it is also costing us tuition money that could go to better things. b. Illustration: Currently this added mess is plying operation or physical plant personal or OPP away from their normal cleaning duties just to pick up after us as if we were children. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
