Leva PSY 129 Name: Date: April 11, 2006 Reading: Chapter Six Reading Assignment Summary Sheet After you have completed this week’s reading assignment, list the 3 or 4 most important concepts or ideas of the reading. Start with what you consider the most important and move to the less important. You may also append or use graphics to supplement your summary. As part of your description of the concept or idea you may also wish to include an example. 1. Classical conditioning is a workout of the involuntary reflexive responses. A good example of this is Pavlov’s dogs in which Ivan Pavlov, conducted a test with his dogs and food. He fed the dogs and right before he did, a bell was rung. Now, after a while into the test, he rang the bell, but there was no food. The key was, the dogs had started salivating at the sound of the bell. Examples of classical conditioning are fright, and psychological responses.
