Are Vaccines Important?Vaccines are very important to keep to keep us healthy and to prevent serious or deadly diseases. Vaccines are consist of small amounts of weak or dead germs that could cause those serious or deadly diseases to help our immune system become accustom to them. Doing this helps are bodies prepare to fight against viruses, bacteria, and etc. Getting vaccines helps us to become immune to those diseases, so if our bodies come in contact with those diseases it will be able to respond faster. The most common way for vaccines to be administered through the form of shots, but they can be administered orally. Traditionally vaccines are made by using weakened, inactive, part of a virus, or part of a bacteria. Weakening a virus is a strategy used so that the virus is reproduced very slowly once inside the body. What makes viruses become a serious problem is because usually once a person is infected that virus would reproduced at a fast rate not giving the immune system time to respond. The measles, chickenpox, and shingles vaccines are made using this method. Vaccines made using this method do not work for viruses that weakens the immunes system such as cancerand AIDS.
