Running head: ESSENTIALS OF ADVANCED NURSING PRACTICE 2 Essentials of Advanced Nursing Practice Introduction Purpose of Consultation The purpose of this paper is to analyze and identify the need for change and improvement at Eskenazi Health. The focus will be on how nurses are the core of the need for effective change within the organization, and the importance of selecting the best organizational change of communication to support the changes that are needed during organizational changes. In a Matrix reporting organization nurses may report to two or three managers or leaders. With this level of reporting the information in which is shared and intended to support the clinical staff at times may be delivered with inaccuracy and lead to confusion. Nurses can appreciate clear direct information that is communicated well as we practice with precision of care. Receiving information from multiple sources may cause the staff to feel torn as it relates to employer loyalty. Effective communication depends on precise sharing of all information correctly. Overview of the consultation A face to face interview was conducted for an hour with Jennifer I. Embree DNP, RN, NE-BC, CCNS.
