What is information Systems? An information system is a set of components working together for collecting, storing and processing data to provide information .
Major roles of information systems
1) Managing Operations: - To design, operate and improve the business processes to deliver goods & services. - 2) Supporting Customer Interactions: - Build and maintain relationships with the customers. - Text message alerts, push notifications, feedback systems and so on. 3) Data Driven Decision Making : - Collate vast data points to reveal trends and patterns. 4) Collaborating on Teams: - Allow people to work together at anytime from any place - Video conferencing, shared documents, virtual networks.
