I worked for several years at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, first on the Surgical Specialties unit, then on the Labor & Delivery/Postpartum/Newborn Nursery unit. After three years of travel nursing in Labor & Delivery, I took my first post as a nursing instructor in an LPN-RN program. I earned my Master’s of Science in Rural Family Nursing (Nurse Educator) from the University of Central Missouri in 2013. I was an
