Elaine Anderson Prof. Jefferson EDUC 1300 – 5023 18 August 2019 SPENT The first thing I noticed was the job choices. The jobs were only $9/hour jobs which lead me to believe I have no college degree and only have a high school diploma or GED. However, when I reached day 23, the scenario read, “Your college degree isn’t helping you right now, but you still have to pay your loans.” Even if you have a liberal arts degree, there are jobs that pay much more than $9/hour. Another thing incorrect was the laundry mat, it does not cost $30. This game is a constant stream of financial hardships making it less of an accurate simulation and more of a repetitive game of choices with no positive outcomes or scenarios. Yes, the point gets across with the game constantly bashing you with depressing facts about every little choice, but the impact might have been much stronger if it was more subtle and let you think about the choices you made.
