Chapter 6 Study Guide Key Terms: Team-based Organization – An organizational structure in which there are fewer managers, and more networks of self-managing teams Workplace Democracy - Principles and practices that emphasize employee goals, participation, and feelings Group Norms - Unwritten behavioral rules and ways of doing things that groups develop over time. These reflect what groups feel is important and effective. Project Teams – Work groups created specifically to complete a task Quality Teams – Groups with the responsibility to respond to quality or quantity problems to issues raised by management Geographically Diverse Teams – Teams linked through technology because they are separated in distance
