Speaker: Nharly Hernandez I INTRODUCTION A. Attention Getter: “Does this spark joy?” this is the question that Japanese organizing consultant , Marie Kondo asks all her clients. Her show Tidying Up is a new Netflix original that helps people get rid of unnecessary objects and declutter their home. Listener centered thesis: I’d like to share the story on how watching this show, cleaning out my closet and talking to a friend helped me realize that there are many people in need of things that we hoard. B. Set-Up: This story includes me, my closet, my friend Krissy and Marie Kondo’s expertise. C. Preview of 3 main points 1. conflict/crisis- I was cleaning out my closet and didn’t know what to do with all my unused clothes 2. climax- Spoke to my friend Krissy and she mentioned how she was also cleaning out her closet and giving her clothes to her younger nieces. 3. resolution- Gifted all my clothes to some younger girls at my church II BODY A. Main Point 1 1. I had started hearing a lot of fuzz about Tidying up on all social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and even Snapchat.
