Tyler Webb 3/16/19 SPB3003 Chapter 7 Summary - For a sports organization to maintain success it depends on the customers. The marketing aspect of sports is the key role in that. There are four P’s in sports marketing: Product, Price, Promotion and place. Each play a different but key role in sports marketing. Core product is the essential component a sporting event. Price has to do with the ticket prices and how they are different for certain events. A sporting event where two good teams face off will be more expensive than two bad teams facing off. Promotion deals with the promotions at or during a sporting event or activity. There are Two types of promotions, Price and Non-price promotions. Place is the final P, it deals with place and distribution. Place is also a major factor in consumers initial perception of a sport organization. o In order to make decisions in sports marketing you need deeper research on every aspect to make the right decisions.
