The effects of both World Wars on Russia and the United States impacted economy, society, and government. World War I led to drastic changes in economy for both countries and both countries developed strong views about communism. These changes in the countries were opposite of each other. World War II led to establishment asworld powers in both countries with spread of their ideals to other countries. The aftermath of World War I (WWI) in 1918 left Russia with massive populationloss of 13 million people and the workforce also decreased with the population and Russia’s total income was 40% of what it was before WWI. In combination with the revolutions during and after the war, labor productivity and output plummeted and causedfood and fuel shortages. Though the United States also suffered many casualties, the economy took a strong upturn as a result of increased manufacturing during the war. Unemployment rates between 1914 to 1916 dropped from 16.4% to 6.3%. World War I resulted in net positive profit for the United States. Advances in technology created a
