Since days of slavery, we as blackpeople have been brutally mistreated at the expense of the advancement of the white race. Asyears have gone by since then, we continue to suffer from the effects of slavery, simply fromeveryday prejudices to police brutality. The movement of Black Lives Matter emphasizes theaffirmation of its name and the liberation of black people as a whole. This social movementutilizes strategies of each pathos, logos, and ethos to reach out to black people in a manner thatmakes us feel as though we finally have the support we need and also reaches out to other racesin order to gain allies to expedite the progression of our justices.In the letter composed for the 6thanniversary of the Black Lives Matter movement, “6Years Later and Black Activists Are Still Fighting”, by the movements’ co-founder PatrisseKhan-Cullors, she describes the incitement of the movement and the importance of themovement still being in place today, published onBlackLivesMatter.com.
