Group Typology 2 Group Typology Introduction Group typology is a special area of interest that should excite any social worker. This is because most clients require group treatment in order to recover fully. Therefore, it is important for a social worker to understand group typology so as to choose individuals who may benefit from it. From the case study, Paula Cortez is suffering from hepatitis C and HIV; it is evident that Paula needs to be placed under the treatment group to overcome her predicaments (Plummer & Makris & Brocksen, 2014). Paula Cortez has restrained from taking medication which has drastically affected her health. Notably, Paula Cortez is not in a stable relationship with the father of her child; she cites harassment and physical abuse as detrimental to her life progress.
