Chelsea Thoms Reaction Paper #3 February 27, 2008 My values, skills, and interests play a role in choosing both my major and my career. For instance, my interests tell me the things I am interested in, which can help to lead me to choose a major that will help me in obtaining a job where I can do things that interest me. My skills tell me the things I am good at doing. They help me pick a major that requires courses that I am good at and a future career where I will do work in doing things that I am good at. Finally, my values tell me the things that are most important to me. My values help me choose a major which will lead to a career that will allow me to maintain my values and allow me to maintain the values for my life. Some of my interests include being with people, planning, organizing, working with children, helping people, and being in charge. These interests tell me that I should pick a major which will allow me to get a job where I can be “the boss.” They also tell me that I would enjoy a job such
