1 Same-sex marriage is a huge controversial issue still being debated in the world  today. Many people believe that same-sex marriage is not justifiable but then many  others believe that there is no problem with this circumstance. I believe that homosexuals  and lesbians should be permitted to marry if they choose to. After researching this issue  for two-weeks, I came across four different people, two against and two for the issue on  same-sex marriage. They all have strong opinions and arguments on this issue and have  represented their side extremely well. Not only will I be talking about why people are  opposed to same-sex marriage but I will also be talking about why people are for it and  their facts and reasons to support their beliefs.  There are many reasons why people are opposed to same sex marriage and they  don’t believe that it is justifiable at all but out of the many interesting articles that I came  across, I chose two people that have strong facts on why same-sex marriage should not be  allowed. They are Dr. Paul Cameron and Joe Messerli, who created the website called  BalancedPolitics.org. First, in Dr. Paul Cameron’s article, “Same Sex Marriage: Til Death Do Us  Part?”, he talks about five different facts and reasons supporting them about why same- sex marriage should not be allowed. The five different facts are: 1. Homosexual marriages are short lived 2. Studies show homosexual marriage is hazardous to one’s health 3. Homosexual marriage has the highest rate of domestic violence 4.  Homosexual domestic violence is a larger problem than gay bashing 5.  Homosexuals make poor parents. Out of those five facts, the ones that have the most supporting reasons are facts one  and three. Some of the reasons for fact one that Dr. Cameron gives about why  homosexual marriages are short lived are because homosexuals desire variety in their sex  partners, including statistics that show in 1987, only twenty-three percent of homosexuals  reported being sexually exclusive with only one partner to only seventeen percent out of  twenty-five hundred homosexuals in 1994.  They also have shorter and less committed  marriages than non-traditional marriages because all of them anticipate ‘divorce’ within  one to three years. The next fact that Dr. Cameron talks about is homosexual marriage having the  highest rate of domestic violence. He gives many reasons for supporting his facts with  many different statistics, including that the average rate of domestic violence in a

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
