HYPOTHETICAL SYLLOGISM 2 Hypothetical Syllogism Hypothetical Syllogism is made of diverse types of sentences in their conclusions and premises and not only phrases, statements and certain propositions ( Copi, Cohen & Flage, 2016) . Hypothetical syllogisms are considered to be much familiar whereby most individuals use them as compared to categorical syllogisms, and the regulations for their application are easy to understand. Hypothetical syllogisms exist in different forms which include disjunctive, hypothetical, dilemmas, sorites and conjunctive. Hypothetical syllogisms are however considered to have a certain extent of symbolic logic as compared to the others. A hypothetical syllogism is created around a particular hypothetical proclamation which assumes the form of “If…then.” .
